The passion she has developed for the Bar Method, and the results she has seen over the years ignited her interest to become an instructor. Favorite Bar Method Exercise: Standing Seat

Carrie Ghizzone grew up in Portland, Oregon and always loved being active! Her senior year in college at Azusa Pacific University, while getting her degree in psychology, she trained and completed her first marathon. After finishing her degree, moving back to Portland, running a few more marathons and working, she found the Bar Method! The intention was to go when not training hard and to help with running but it became so much more. Carrie is excited to be part of the ground floor of The Bar Method team and a founding member of the team!

When she’s not doing Bar Method, she enjoys hanging out with her husband doing fun activities like riding bicycles, paddleboarding, exploring Minneapolis, and hanging with their three fur babies! She also continues to run marathons occasionally and is a "scratch" marathoner!

Elizabeth Werler

Elizabeth Werler

Certified Instructor

Favorite Bar Method Exercise: Arm Dancing

Elizabeth has danced all her life and made it her major in college. Although dancing meant a lot to Elizabeth, her constant struggle with arthritis and joint pain made her veer away from it in search of other physical activities. During her hunt for an alternative workout, Elizabeth found the Bar Method and its focus on strength and flexibility was perfect for her. Bar Method is a killer workout and its emphasis on good alignment and posture were just what Elizabeth needed. Last ski season Elizabeth noticed a huge difference in her speed, strength and form and she gives full credit for this improvement to the Bar Method.

The most rewarding part of being an instructor is when Elizabeth sees the positive changes in student’s bodies that comes from dedication, commitment and focus. The moment when Elizabeth sees a student close their eyes, embrace the shake, and push themselves to a new level is pretty awesome. The adoration clients have for Elizabeth’s preferred way to workout allows her to better her practice and improve the classes she teach.
